Festival: Screened as an Installation piece, as part of the BCUC/BNU Art and Furniture Design Exhibition stand at the Milan Show: Salone Internazionale del Mobile, at the Fiera Milano, 18-23 April 2007.
This concept/DVD presents the viewer with a visual melee of ten clips of short video original works, for ten seconds at a time, before looping around again. The clips occupy specific locations within a widescreen frame and are counted down with a timecode panel situated in the centre of the screen. Whilst the visuals are looped on a ten second cycle, only one associated audio track plays each clip cycle (i.e. for ten seconds). The viewer is therefore directly asked to question what is being observed and what is being heard. It will be hoped that a viewing situation is created where audio and visual material can be juxtaposed to create different interpretations or combinations of the ten short film clips, and their associated and non-associated soundtracks.
